Intensive English Language Institute at University of North Texas Intensive English Language Institute at UNT offers intensive academic English instruction. IELI students have 23 hours of class per week.

The Intensive English Language Institute at University of North Texas offers intensive academic English language preparation courses for international students who want to study at UNT or other universities or colleges in the United States. IELI has 7 levels of English proficiency, from beginner (Level 0) to advanced (Level 6) and 5 eight-week terms each year: Fall I, Fall II, Spring I, Spring II,

Summer. Students enroll in 2 core classes (Communication and Writing), Monday-Friday to complete 20 hours/week, and 3 hours of supplemental classes. From the Director of IELI, "We want help you learn English so you may reach your full academic and professional potential. Our program is one of the largest accredited intensive English language programs in the US and the results show. You will receive solid English preparation and individualized attention from our highly qualified, full-time instructors. IELI staff and faculty have years of experience living, studying, and working abroad, so they understand international students like you. They will help you with all the personal, immigration, and academic questions you may have. Our students are in the heart of UNT’s campus in the friendly and vibrant city of Denton, Texas and 45 minutes away from Dallas-Fort Worth metropolis, the fourth largest metropolitan area in the US. Students balance work with fun as they meet many international students and participate in special activities on and off campus.
