UNT Lambda Pi Eta

UNT Lambda Pi Eta Established in 1985 at the University of Arkansas, Lambda Pi Eta is an honor society for students in Communication Studies.

The Department of Communication Studies sponsors the Mu Alpha Chapter of Lambda Pi Eta (LPH), the national honor society for students in Communication Studies. Formed in 2001, UNT's chapter of Lambda Pi Eta is actively involved in service projects, academic development initiatives, and providing opportunities for students to interact socially with each other and with the faculty. In order to quali

fy for membership in LPH a student must:

-Have completed at least 60 semester hours
-Have completed at least 12 semester hours in Communication Studies
-Have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0
-Have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 in Communication Studies courses
-Be in good standing at the university
-Display commitment to the field of Communication Studies

The Southern Speech Communication Association (SSCA) will host its annual conference this April right up the road in Frisco. They host a great undergraduate honors research part of the conference.

If you have a strong paper and want the experience of presenting at a great conference, the deadline has been extended to December 20.

This would be a great opportunity, especially since SSCA is so close this year!
