We had the privilege of celebrating Abby Jaquez's retirement after 32 years at our school.

The room was filled with colleagues and friends, each there to honor someone whose kindness, professionalism and support have touched so many lives. Throughout her career, Abby made a lasting impact on our students, faculty, staff and community, and her legacy will continue to be felt for years to come.

Thank you, Abby, for 32 wonderful years of service. We are grateful for everything you've given to our school and wish you nothing but happiness in your well-earned retirement.

Congratulations to Charles Griffin, graduate student in the Fantauzzo laboratory, on receiving a prestigious 2026-2027 ARCS Scholar Award through the Achievement Rewards for College Scientists (ARCS) Foundation!
This award will support his research on gene expression regulation during mammalian craniofacial development, advancing our understanding of the complex biological processes that shape craniofacial structures and contribute to human health.
We are proud of Charles and the impactful research being conducted at the University of Colorado Anschutz School of Dental Medicine.

Earlier this summer, we celebrated Roberta Sebby's retirement after 18 incredible years as a dental assistant in our school's Dental Faculty Practice (DFP).

Roberta anticipated our dentists' needs before they even asked, kept the clinic running seamlessly, and became the encyclopedia of DFP knowledge — all with grace, professionalism, and an unmatched work ethic. But what we'll miss most isn't just her skill — it's her spirit. Roberta didn't just assist in dental procedures; she helped make our clinic a place where people genuinely loved to work.
