From designing solutions alongside healthcare professionals in rural Guatemala to exploring the semiconductor industry in Taiwan and Japan, CU Denver engineering students can gain global experience without putting their degree on hold.

Because studying abroad isn't a detour from your engineering education, it's a chance to see how engineering solves real-world challenges across cultures, industries and communities!

Ready to see where your engineering degree could take you? Learn more about engineering study abroad experiences this year : https://ow.ly/ZYvj50ZGhAG and join us at the CU Denver | MSU Study Abroad Fair on Tuesday, Sept. 1, from 9:30 a.m.–1 p.m. in the Tivoli Turnhalle: https://ow.ly/StVa50ZGhAH

Engineering is about more than what you build in the classroom, it’s about the people you build with.

Some of the most important lessons at CU Denver happen after class ends—when students build a competition project together, travel to a national conference, land an internship through a connection, or simply walk into a student organization meeting and find their community.

At CU Denver's College of Engineering, Design and Computing, student organizations help you build friendships, leadership skills, professional networks, and real-world experience that can shape your career long after graduation.

Want to see what that looks like?

Join us at the STEM Open House! Meet current students, explore our programs, connect with faculty, and discover the student organizations that make the CEDC experience more than a degree.

Then, read the full story to hear directly from CU Denver students about how getting involved led to friendships, leadership opportunities, internships, and career-changing experiences: https://ucdengineeringnews.com/2026/08/27/find-your-people-build-your-future-why-student-organizations-matter-at-cedc/

Not every future engineer grows up believing engineering is for them.

This Women's Equality Day, we're celebrating the women faculty in CU Denver's College of Engineering, Design and Computing who are helping change that.

Through mentorship, research and encouragement, they're creating opportunities for students to discover their strengths, pursue their curiosity and see themselves in engineering.

Because when more people have the opportunity to contribute their ideas, engineering is stronger.

Read their stories and see how these faculty members are helping the next generation find where they belong: https://ucdengineeringnews.com/2026/08/26/women-are-shaping-engineering-your-ideas-belong-here/

Meet the Class of 2030.

Every student starts with a different major, a different story, and a different vision for what's next.

We asked five new Lynx what they're studying—and one question that's bigger than any major:

What do you hope to achieve by 2030?

Whatever your answer looks like—a meaningful career, graduate school, launching a business, creating change, or something only you can imagine—we're here to help you take the next step.

Now it's your turn: What are you hoping to achieve by 2030? Share your goal in the comments.
