Drake University's Student Music Advisory Committee (SMAC) is a group that consists of the current music department chair, the Fine Arts Center (FAC) facilities coordinator, a faculty advisor, and eight music students (two freshmen, two sophomores, two juniors, and two seniors) representing their fellow music majors. SMAC meets once a month to answer concerns brought to their attention by students

and faculty through various channels, including the SMAC suggestion box placed in Schloss Lounge on the second floor of FAC. OR follow this link to electronically submit a suggestion http://www.suggestionox.com/response/3XAIOv

This page is SMAC's way to reach out to Drake music majors online! Post your concerns about issues in FAC and possible suggestions for ways to improve our academic and musical lives in this space. We, in turn, will use this page to keep you all informed about the discussions that go on during our monthly meetings.

PSA: Have you noticed the paper maps/signs hanging around FAC recently? This was part of a final project for some Drake graphic design students. The corrections on the signs will be made before being printed on a more permanent (adhesive) material. Please respect the current posters and don't throw them away if you notice them falling off the walls. Thanks to the graphic design students in leading this initiative that will make FAC more accessible to our guests!
