Hello Thunderbirds!

The 2022-23 TRiO application for Highline College students is now live! TRiO Student Support Services (SSS) provides professional mentorship and coaching, academic and transfer advising, individualized tutoring, cultural and community-building activities, and courses related to academic success and transfer goals.

Please note that eligibility for the TRIO SSS Program includes a) a desire to transfer to a four-year program or college, AND b) identifying as either a first-generation college student, a low-income student, or a student with a disability. If you know any students that would be a great fit for TRiO and would thrive with this kind of support, please send them the application.

Calling all TRiO scholars!
Are you interested in being involved on campus? Apply to become a Passport Peer Mentor for the 22-23 academic year!
Passport Peer Mentors support the Passport Designated Support Staff and Financial Aid Administration with direct supervision from the Designated Support Staff/TRiO Advisor. Peer Mentors are responsible for the outreach to the Passport-eligible student community at Highline and nearby communities, program development to foster academic success and community-building, and mentorship to Passport and Passport-eligible students. TRiO offers flexible hours and an opportunity to learn and engage with both peers and professionals.

Calling all TRiO scholars!

Are you interested in being involved on campus? Do you want to create community events for fellow TRiO students? Can you commit to volunteering at TRiO at least 3 hours per week?

If you answered yes to all the questions, apply to become a TRiO Ambassador for the 22-23 academic year!

TRiO Student Ambassadors serve as volunteer (unpaid) student representatives for the TRiO program. They are passionate TRiO participants who believe in the mission and purpose of TRiO. They believe all students deserve access to quality education, and are aware of the services and resources offered by the TRiO program.

The goal of the TRiO Student Ambassadors Program is to outreach and market to their peers at Highline College of the services and resources offered by TRiO. TRiO Ambassadors also serve as a voice for their fellow peers in the program and help support/plan different events, activities, and initiatives by taking on student leadership roles to promote active engagement in TRiO.

Hello TRiO Scholars of Class of 2022!

If you are graduating this spring, summer and fall of 2022, this event is for you!

Stop by the TRiO Center (bldg. 6) Wed. June 8th anytime between 10 AM - 2 PM to pick up a TRiO stole (red, black and white scarf) for graduation. This can be worn across your shoulders during commencement.

Not able to pick up your TRIO stole on the 8th? We will be hosting a table during commencement on Thurs. June 16th in Bldg. 8 (Student Union) from 11 am - 2 pm. Stop by our table or reach out to us before the ceremony!

If you were done with your AA degree in winter 2022 and have not received a TRiO grad stole, please reach out to us or stop by one of our pick-up dates.
