Charlie's Showplace "The informal and fun dinner theater!" Charlie's Showplace (aka The King Charles Theater, Ltd.) Iowa. Located at the corner of 5th Ave.

was a dinner theater owned and operated by Mariam and Larry McKeever from 1973 through 1985 in Des Moines. and University Ave., Charlie's produced a new play roughly every month for twelve years.
