Drake University Chemistry Department

We involve students in undergraduate research projects that have been published in papers in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at local, regional, and national meetings. Six full-time faculty members with teaching and science awards, along with eight laboratory instructors contribute to the education of our undergraduates during and outside of class hours. We have excellent teaching and res

earch facilities, and modern instrumentation which are accessible to our students to gain hands-on experience. Drake chemistry graduates have pursued doctoral degrees at University of Notre Dame, University of Wisconsin, University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, Arizona State University.
