Today’s term is “empowerment,” which is the process of gaining confidence, knowledge, skills, and support to make informed decisions, advocate for personal needs, and take an active role in one’s own life and mental health care.

Congratulations to CBHJ staff members Kaitlyn Kok, Mya Ellison, Rachel Marken, Chase Herle, and Ariel Clay for graduating from the Wayne State University School of Social Work with your Masters in Social Work! They have each worked so hard for this achievement, balancing full- and part-time work with the CBHJ, classes, practicum placements, and hopefully at least a little leftover time for fun. We're incredibly proud of all they've accomplished.
