Delta Zeta Sorority - WSU The Epsilon Sigma chapter was founded on September 15, 1956. Our national sorority was founded on October 24, 1902.

Delta Zeta unites its members in the bonds of sincere and lasting friendship, encourages the pursuit of knowledge, promotes, the moral and social culture of its members, and helps sisters develop plans for guidance Through Delta Zeta’s philanthropy of speech and hearing, Delta Zeta has national partnerships with The Starkey Hearing Foundation, Gallaudet University, the House Ear Institute, and The

Painted Turtle Camp. The Painted Turtle's mission is to provide a year-round, life-changing environment and authentic camp experience for children with chronic and life-threatening illnesses. We also volunteer for many organizations in Detroit and Metro Detroit including Capuchin soup kitchen, Gleaners food bank, Ronald McDonald house, Detroit Day School for the Deaf, Vista Maria, Woodbridge Community Center, and the Holley Family Village.

September is Deaf Awareness Month 🀟🀍 Our sister, Vanessa, had the incredible opportunity to volunteer with this past May at The Holley Family Village’s Carls Family Village!

β€œThis past May, I had the amazing opportunity to join other Delta Zeta’s from across the country for ASL weekend! Not only did I get the chance to learn ASL, but I was immersed within the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing community which granted me a new-found passion for our philanthropy: speech and hearing! It was truly an experience like no other, and one for which I’m so grateful!”
