Clear, informed language can make a meaningful difference in how we understand and support others. Define the terms, not the person.

Today’s term is “recovery,” a process of change through which individuals improve their health and wellness, live a self-directed life, and strive to reach their full potential.

Follow along throughout the month as we continue building a shared language. Learn more in the AOT toolkit: https://behaviorhealthjustice.wayne.edu/aot

Congratulations to CBHJ staff members Kaitlyn Kok, Mya Ellison, Rachel Marken, Chase Herle, and Ariel Clay for graduating from the Wayne State University School of Social Work with your Masters in Social Work! They have each worked so hard for this achievement, balancing full- and part-time work with the CBHJ, classes, practicum placements, and hopefully at least a little leftover time for fun. We're incredibly proud of all they've accomplished.
