Dear Members of the Divine Nine,
The National Pan-Hellenic Council is proud to launch a Virtual Blood Drive in support of Sickle Cell Awareness and treatment efforts, with an ambitious but achievable goal of collecting 300 pints of blood for this truly worthy cause.
Sickle Cell Disease disproportionately impacts the African American community, making our participation not only important but deeply personal. Every donation has the power to save lives, strengthen families, and bring hope to individuals battling this disease every day. We are asking every member of the Divine Nine, along with your families and friends, to consider donating blood at your local donation center during this campaign effort.
In recognition of June 19th as “Shine the Light on Sickle Cell Day,” we encourage councils to unite around the message: “Give Back by Giving Blood.” Imagine the impact if every chapter mobilized just a few donors. Together, we can create a wave of service and healing across our communities.
To help build excitement and momentum, we encourage:
• Social media challenge posts between organizations and councils
• Chapter spotlights and donor recognition
• Friendly giving competitions
• Wearing red and sharing photos on June 19th
• Testimonial videos from members impacted by Sickle Cell Disease
