University of Detroit Mercy Electrical and Computer Engineering The UDM Electrical and Computer Engineering department has great faculty and a productive environment working to bring great things for you!

Electrical, electronics and computer engineers find innovative ways to use electricity and computers to improve people’s lives. UDM taps into your creativity so you can apply theoretical concepts to find innovative solutions to new problems. By working with hands-on projects which explore a series of robotic, sensor, and/or communication systems you combine electrical and computer engineering conc

epts with practical applications. We teach you engineering theory through an integrated and applied approach, so you learn how concepts work together - as they would in the "real world." Additionally, our upperclassmen and graduate students work on the design and development of an internationally competitive autonomous vehicle to participate in the International Ground Vehicle Competition (www.IGVC.org). There is also a new robotics and mechatronics degree being offered. Go here to learn more and get more information on the senior design project:

Take a look at what the Winter 2013 Digital Logic class worked on. They had to move a robot as if it was in an assembly line. It was to simulate picking up an object, moving to a new position, then releasing the object.

Here is an interesting compilation of the Sophomore's project from last fall.

This is a compilation of several videos from the Fall 2013 Sophomore class final project. They had to make a robot/circuit that would avoid obstacles.
