Congratulations to Sauk Valley Community College's President Dr. David Hellmich on his last Board of Trustees meeting. Dr. Hellmich is retiring after serving as the college's President since 2015.

The meeting ended with the unveiling of the newly named "Hellmich Riverview Conference Center".

Best wishes to Dr. David Hellmich and his wife, Dr. Linda Hellmich!

Thank you to everyone who joined us today and to Brittany Piper for teaching us to ride into power by learning to experience, express, and expel our truth. Your story moved us all, reminding us that when our purpose becomes greater than our pain, post-traumatic growth begins. Through empathy and courage, we can stop running from our past and start writing a new ending.

A massive thank you to Valerie Kern-Lyons and our Counseling Department. They work tirelessly to increase mental health awareness across our campus, ensuring every student feels seen and supported. We are so grateful for your dedication to the SVCC community’s well-being. ❤️🖤
