It’s Points of Pride time! During our Points of Pride, we share exciting news from the College that relates to student success and milestones for our students, faculty, and staff. This week, we’re celebrating the Impact Program!

In the first 20 days of enrollment, over 140 students from the class of 2030 have signed up for the Impact Program.

Impact sign-up officially opened on April 1! If you haven’t yet, you can still register your in-district 8th grader for the Impact Program. The earlier they sign up, the earlier they can start earning their volunteer hours this June. In-district freshmen through juniors who have not previously enrolled can also sign up at a tiered tuition rate. Learn about the program and how to enroll at svcc.edu/impact.

The Impact Program has some big news regarding the Clippers Campaign! An anonymous donor in Sublette has launched a $50,000 matching grant campaign, creating an opportunity for Sublette and Amboy communities to double their impact for Amboy Community Unit High School students.

All gifts made by the August 1 deadline will be matched, effectively turning a $50 donation into $100, a $500 donation into $1,000, and so on. This generous individual believes in the power of the Impact Program, which not only supports students academically but also develops leaders, volunteers, and engaged citizens. These funds will go towards the ongoing Clippers Challenge, a $600,000 initiative to fully endow tuition support for Amboy Community Unit High School students.

Don’t miss the chance to double your impact! Donations can be made online at hi.switchy.io/kZKZ or by calling 815-835-6260. All contributions are tax-deductible. If you have questions regarding the campaign, please contact Dr. Lori Cortez at [email protected].
