Early Childhood Education major, Elizabeth Lewis, taught a 3-day learning segment about natural disasters to 3rd graders at Kelly Springs Elementary School. On the first day, students identified three different types of natural disasters (tornadoes, hurricanes, and earthquakes). On the second day, students made emergency kits for their homes. On the third and final day, students made a safety plan for them and their families.
