🌟 Foundation Friday Spotlight: Alyssa Etheredge 🌟

Alyssa is a dedicated Wallace student pursuing a degree in Health Science while raising her daughter and working toward a brighter future for her family. She is building the foundation for her next step: attending the Radiologic Technology program in Spring 2026.

With dreams of becoming an X-Ray Tech and eventually earning certification in PET scans, Alyssa is driven by her passion for helping others and inspired by her aunt’s work in cancer care. Her hard work and determination have led her to an impressive 4.0 GPA this semester.

🌟 Foundation Friday Spotlight: Shakera Bankston 🌟

Shakera Bankston is a nursing student, devoted mother of three, and an inspiring example of perseverance. To pursue her education and create a better future for her family, she made the difficult decision to leave her full-time job and transition to a PRN position while attending school.

After completing her nursing degree, Shakera hopes to focus her career on mental health, helping others navigate the challenges of life by raising awareness about the importance of psychological well-being.

🌟 Foundation Friday Spotlight: Niyanna Williams 🌟

Niyanna Williams is a student in the Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) Program at Wallace Community College. A first-generation college student with big dreams. After graduating from Wallace, she plans to attend Troy University to earn her BSN and ultimately become a nurse midwife.

In addition to balancing nursing school and work, Niyanna serves as a Wallace Community College Diplomat, participates in student organizations, and volunteers throughout the community.

Scholarship support helps ease the financial burden of tuition, books, clinical expenses, and transportation, allowing Niyanna to focus on achieving her goals.
