SGSC Interim President Dr. Greg Tanner and UGA Tifton’s Dr. Barry Croom spoke to the Exchange Club of Waycross recently about the new associate degree pathway in agriculture launching this fall at SGSC! Following the presentation, the Exchange Club made a gift to the club’s endowed scholarship through the James M. Dye Foundation. Also joining Drs. Tanner and Croom was Tyler Lott, SGSC’s Dual Enrollment/Corporate Partner Specialist, and Ware County Schools Superintendent Dr. Lynn Barber. Exchange Club members were (L-R) President Kirby McSwain, Secretary Virginia Peagler, and President-Elect Danny Bartlett.

South Georgia State College is currently accepting applications for full-time Police Officer positions.
While certified law enforcement officers may be given priority consideration, SGSC welcomes applications from individuals who are not yet certified. The college is committed to developing the next generation of law enforcement professionals and will sponsor selected candidates to attend a Georgia P.O.S.T.-approved police academy after successfully completing the hiring process.
