Jamil Jackson is the current football coach at Southwest Dover University and has been with the University since February 2021.

Before joining Southwest Dover University Jamil Jackson was a high school football coach, while there he supervised the management of equipment and helped the team maintain a
winning record every year he was there.

Due to his expertise, ability to assign and assess assistant coaches and other athletic personnel, and ability to motivate players Jackson was best suited to be the head coach.

Since joining the University, Jamil has been involved with helping the recruitment of student-athletes, upholding division policies and guidelines.

Jamil has improved the scholastic eligibility for the players, the quality of practices, and the coaches' performances.

Jamil enjoys connecting the football team with the community and makes a conscious effort to help with community service projects as much as possible.

Jamil received his bachelor's and master's degrees from James Madison University.

Jamil is married to Monica Banks and in his free time he enjoys watching sports and exercising to maintain fitness.

Our newly built football stadium, this stadium has new seats that will increase legroom by six inches and new isles will be built to reduce the number of seats between isles.

All benches will be replaced to contoured benches while “several sections” will replace benches with chair backs.

New LED lighting will be introduced to entryways and concourses.

SWDU Is Signing Star High School Recruit to The Football Team

Southwest Dover University head football coach Harvey Smith announced the signing of star running back Adrian Fernandez.

During the announcement head coach, Smith states “Adrian has the capability of being a starter his freshman year.” With such lofty expectations for this young prodigy, it is going to be exciting to see how he performs under pressure.

18-year-old Adrian will be majoring in aviation going into his fall 2023 year, “I knew SWDU had one of the best aviation programs in the country, and I've always wanted to get my pilot license” says Adrian in an interview.

“I'm excited to do what I love on the field and off.”

Originally from Miami, Fernandez was raised by his mother Tasha and father Chris, as well as his younger sister Destiny in a family of four.

During spring practice in April, Southwest intends to bring Adrian in so that he can get a head start on what to expect in the upcoming fall season.
