The APhA-ASP hosted a Narcan training session last night for our program and the turnout was great! 🙌🏽

Training such as these are immensely important to help educate individuals and work to lower the number of fatal opioid overdoses.

Starting the week off with some preceptor appreciation! 🫶🏽 Pictured are PA-2s Gabby Alessia and Marissa Barria on their family medicine rotation with Dr. George Thomas at Park Primary Care.

Marissa says:
“This has been one of my favorite rotations to date! Dr. Thomas is extremely kind and approachable. He encourages autonomy which helps students build their confidence. I got to work in their urgent care, primary care office and was able to observe occasional procedures in their Med Spa. On top of the wide variety of cases I got to see, I was able to work with and learn from multiple PAs. It was great experience to see how different providers practice. The connection each provider had with their patients was always noticeable. It truly was a pleasure getting to be somewhere that made their patients, students and staff all feel welcome.”✨

What better way to kick off fall break than a trip to Milwaukee County Zoo 🐼🐯🦁🐘 PA school is hard work, but good friends make it a bit easier 🫶🏽
