Did you know that August is ? The "Play in Arkansas" exhibit at UA Little Rock Downtown is the perfect place to learn about the history of play and explore the ways people have created fun with their loved ones!

The exhibit is free and open to the public. "Play in Arkansas" is on display through December 15, 2026. Email [email protected] to schedule a group or individual visit.

Last week, the North Little Rock High School and North Little Rock Center of Excellence hosted their student ambassador training program at UA Little Rock Downtown. At the end of their session, Madison Schalk, with the UA Little Rock Office of Admissions, spoke to the students about all of the opportunities available at UA Little Rock!

You can now find Joe Jones's mural, "The Struggle in the South," on the Labor Heritage Foundation's Labor Landmarks map! This LHF project maps museums, monuments, murals, and other historic sites to document labor history in the United States. Thank you to CALS Roberts Library for stopping by UA Little Rock Downtown to see the "Play in Arkansas" exhibit yesterday. In addition to housing hundreds of collections and resources relating to Arkansas history, the Butler Center for Arkansas Studies is also one of the institutional partners that made this exhibit possible. "Play in Arkansas" features nearly 100 archival photos from the Butler Center's collections!

The exhibit is open now through December 15, Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 4 PM. Email [email protected] to schedule an individual or group visit.

Charlie is entering his second year as a graduate student in the M.A. in Public History program at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
