The Valley of Columbus is made up of around 3400 members from Central Ohio, consisting of 25 counties, from the Valley of Firelands south to the Valley of Gallipolis.

The Valley of the Firelands is the home for SR Masons in North-Central Ohio, the rural area between Toledo and Cleveland. It is so named because land grants were given to early settlers who had lost their property to British raids during the American Revolution.

The Valley of Gallipolis is located in the South-Central Ohio counties along the Ohio River.

Thursday Night at the Rite wrapped up a very popular and successful season last night with a rendition of the 29°, Knight of Saint Andrew, portrayed by our own Valley of Columbus members.

Over 40 members, including at least 2 new candidates, from Franklin, Delaware, Scioto, Gallia, Pike and Lawrence counties joined brothers from around the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction last night as they witnessed the 4°, followed by the 29°.

Thursday Night at the Rite watch parties have been a great asset to the Valley of Columbus this year and helped us bring well over a dozen new Scottish Rite Masons into the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction.

If you weren’t able to hold a watch party for TNR, you can still schedule an “on demand” party for a limited time!

To learn more about hosting your own degree viewing event, please contact the valley office at 614-766-2272 and a member of the Activities Committee will help you coordinate the event.

Our Masonic forefathers met in or above taverns, in low valleys and on high hills. Tonight a group of Fayette County brethren met in the Mayer family barn to share in the fellowship of each others company and to participate in a Thursday Night at the Rite watch party. Together they learned the lessons of the 15° and helped bring three brothers into the fold of the Scottish Rite as candidates.

20 other brethren welcomed another candidate in lodges at Orient 321, Western Sun 91, and South Point 497 in counties to the south.

Where is unimportant. But the point is they were together in bonds of fellowship, sharing their experience and broadening their knowledge. THAT is the essence of Freemasonry. Well done, Brethren!
