September is National Student Parent Month! 💙
This month, we’re celebrating the students who are pursuing their educational goals while also raising and caring for their families.
At NRCC, the College Attainment for Parent Students (CAPS) program is one of the ways we support student parents along the way. CAPS offers encouragement, resources, family-friendly events, and assistance when unexpected challenges arise.
Throughout September, we’ll be sharing more about CAPS and the resources available at NRCC to help student parents succeed both in the classroom and at home.

NRCC will close at noon on Friday, Sept. 4 and be closed on Monday, Sept. 7 in observance of the Labor Day holiday (Classes will end at 12 p.m. on Friday. Classes scheduled after 12 p.m. on Friday will not meet).

Recently our Heavy Equipment Operator class got some hands-on experience thanks to Carter Machinery! Chris Dixon and Danny Sink came to campus and provided the students with an introduction, overview, and demonstration of a Backhoe, a Track Skid Steer, and a Mini Excavator. Thanks again to Carter Machinery for the opportunity they provided for our students!
