What an amazing day at Wrigley Field with the Alta Vista Network!

Loras alumni, friends, professionals, and community leaders came together to connect, share ideas, open doors, and support one another.

A special thank you to Gallagher Zone President Sean Gallagher, Vince Mazza ’91, President Mike Doyle ’91, and everyone who helped make the day such a success!

At the heart of Alta Vista is a simple principle:

“You can get anything you want in life by helping others get what they want.” – Zig Ziglar

That spirit was on full display at Wrigley! 💜💛

Meet this month's Duhawk Dozen feature, Tyler Venchus ('19)! 🏔️

From Carol Stream, Illinois, to the Alaskan wilderness, Tyler has turned his love for the outdoors into a career with the National Park Service. Now a park ranger at Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve in Alaska, he helps visitors connect with the stories, landscapes, and experiences that make our national parks worth protecting. Along the way, he’s even crossed paths with fellow Duhawks while working in the parks, proof that the Loras community can show up just about anywhere!

Congratulations, Tyler! To hear more about his story: loras.edu/news/finding-home-in-the-wild

What started as a gathering of Keane Hall second-floor in 1977 has grown into a tradition spanning generations.

This August, Al Soukup (’80) and his wife, Cathy, celebrated the 50th consecutive Fairfax Frolic, welcoming Loras classmates, friends, family members and fellow Duhawks to Fairfax, Iowa, for another weekend of laughter and plenty of Loras stories.

For 50 years, the location may have been Fairfax, but the heart of the weekend has always been Loras. 💜
