The IM-1 lunar lander Odysseus touched down successfully on Thursday, February 22, 2024. At first, there were questions as to whether the lander was upright on the moon. But, by Friday, February 23, its controllers announced it was.

Send Your Name to Jupiter’s Moon Europa

Time is running out to send your name to deep space aboard NASA’s Europa Clipper spacecraft! Submit your name by Dec. 31 to be etched on a microchip that will travel 1.8 billion miles (2.6 billion kilometers) to explore one of Jupiter’s moons, Europa.

Europa Clipper is being assembled at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory and is set to launch from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in October 2024 and by 2030, it will be in orbit around Jupiter. It will gather detailed measurements to determine if Europa has conditions suitable for life.

You're invited to to Jupiter's moon Europa by signing a poem by U.S. Poet Laureate Ada Limón that will travel aboard NASA's spacecraft.
