Date: Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at 1pm EDT

About the webinar:
The path to becoming a licensed professional counselor can feel overwhelming, especially given the multi-stage requirements, multi-year timelines, and differences across state boards. Participants will gain a stronger understanding of the laws and rules that shape licensure, the exams they must prepare for, the essential components of the application, and how to find and work effectively with a qualified supervisor. Whether you are just beginning your graduate program, preparing to sit for the NCE or NCMHCE, or evaluating supervision options, this webinar will provide practical guidance to help you navigate the process with confidence.

Objectives:
By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Understand the importance of statutes and rules as they relate to counseling licensure.
- State the content of the NCE and NCMHCE examinations.
- Identify required items for the application process.
- Understand the role of supervision and how to choose a qualified supervisor.
- Recognize key differences in licensure requirements in Florida and Tennessee.
