| North Carolina Central University student leaders are representing Eagle Nation at the Student Leadership Institute (SLI) hosted by the National Association of Student Affairs Professionals at Claflin University in Orangeburg, South Carolina.

Designed for newly elected student leaders, SLI provides opportunities to network with peers from more than 50 HBCUs, participate in leadership and professional development workshops, exchange ideas, and explore innovative approaches to student engagement, programming, and campus involvement.

| The 2025-26 academic year was marked by partnerships that expanded opportunity and helped prepare students for the future of work. As we revisit some of the moments that helped move NCCU forward, we highlight the university’s continued collaboration with Durham Technical Community College.

This partnership strengthens transfer pathways into NCCU’s life sciences programs, helping students save time and money while creating expanded opportunities for hands-on learning and workforce development experiences connected to high-demand careers.

Recently surrounded by family, friends, fellow alumni, members of the Hillside High School Class of 1942, and the greater community, alumnus Goldston celebrated a century of faith, leadership, service, and impact.

A lifelong educator, proud member of Phi Beta Sigma, WWII veteran, and devoted community servant, his legacy continues to inspire generations of Eagles and beyond.

| This Memorial Day, we honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. We remember their courage, reflect on their legacy, and remain grateful for the freedoms their sacrifice helped protect.

NOTE: In observance of Memorial Day, North Carolina Central University will be closed Monday, May 25. University operations will resume Tuesday, May 26.

| Congratulations to the student-athletes, coaches, academic support staff, and leadership of NCCU Athletics for being recognized during the inaugural MEAC Foundation Sneaker Ball for the department’s outstanding Academic Progress Rate (APR) achievement.

NCCU delivered a record-setting academic performance during the 2024-25 academic year with a school-record 992 overall single-year APR score in the Division I era. Nine programs earned perfect 1,000 single-year APR scores, while two programs posted perfect 1,000 multi-year APR scores across a four-year average, reflecting NCCU Athletics’ continued commitment to excellence in the classroom and in competition.
