UNH TRIO Student Support Services To inform UNH TRIO SSS eligible students about opportunities that will support them in getting the most out of their UNH learning experience.

TRIO promotes access to and success in higher education for first-generation and low-income students. Nationwide TRIO programs are funded in part by the US Department of Education through a competitive grant process. UNH has been awarded TRIO Student Support Services grants in every competition for more than forty years. The university is also home to other TRIO programs: the McNair Graduate Oppor

tunity Program, Upward Bound, and Educational Talent Search. Students’ eligibility to receive services through TRIO programs is determined by federal regulations. TRIO Student Support Services offers eligible students the following:

Individualized subject area tutoring

Graduate school advising and GRE preparation

Scholarship search assistance

Debt Management and Personal Budgeting

Study Group Instruction with a student leader/facilitator in specific courses. Counseling and coaching for students with disabilities

Course selection information (including copies of course syllabi and instructor evaluations)

Degree Works (degree evaluation tool)

Financial aid and financial literacy information
