Dear Alumni,

Meet our Newest Faculty Member: Mike Alvarez.

Mike is the author of an award- winning book, Unraveling: An Autoethnography of Su***de and Renewal. He teaches courses in Mental Health and End of Life Communication, Film and Society, and Autoethnography. His students love him! He’s also the advisor of Lambda Pi Eta, the student honor association that hosts movie nights, resume writing, peer-to-peer tutoring, and professional networking events throughout the year.

This is Day 3 of the (603) challenge. If you’d like to support Lambda Pi Eta, Comm-entary, CAMRA, the Civil Discourse Lab and other student organizations, just click the link below.

Communication Students and Alumni, the (603) challenge is underway! Help us get to 50 donors! Even small contributions will make a difference.

Your gift can help us:

Enhance CAMRA’s how-to "crash courses” on media making, one-on-one mentoring, and our annual showcase event.

Fund our Media Lab with equipment upgrades to train students in media production.

Promote the Civil Discourse Lab and its “civility” work, i.e., training students to organize and facilitate public dialogs on controversial topics.

Support Lambda Pi Eta and its community building movie nights and professional networking events.

Sustain Comm-entary, the student research journal.
Please consider giving today. Any and all contributions, no matter how small, are greatly appreciated.

Make your gift to the communication department and learn more:
