Visit the Pauli Murray Center this Saturday 10:00-2:00 to celebrate 10 years of educational programming and community-building to advance justice and equity.

The Pauli Murray Center is celebrating our ten-year anniversary this summer! We will honor our community and look to the future by dancing, artmaking, eating, "meeting" the Fitzgerald ancestors, and unveiling Pauli Murray's own typewriter.

Drop by the house anytime on Saturday, June 18th between 10 AM and 2 PM to participate in the festivities: https://www.paulimurraycenter.com/anniversary

Check out this year's Duke Graduate Academy course offerings, including a mini-course on community-engaged research with (SSRI) Social Science Research Institute, Duke University!

Course Description: Engaging and partnering with community members and entities in research, sometimes in the form of research practice partnership, can be a powerful mechanism for ensuring research is appropriately situated within the context and utilized for social change. These concepts and processes are highly complex, and often quite challenging, both in theory and in practice. This course will interrogate the meaning of “community-engaged research” and related terms, explore their relevance for both researchers and communities, address the ethical considerations and logistical problems that often arise, and consider recommendations for enacting best practices.
