Dr Ng’s Neuroscience Service Learning course and volunteers from NeuroCare!

Their mission: “Empower and equip first-generation college students in Durham Public Schools, their families, and educators to become the leaders that will transform our city.”  Student volunteers created novel interactive brain activities about neuroanatomy, memory, emotions, vision, and tactile stimulation. They engaged with approximately 80 middle school and high school students!

Congratulations to Maya Chandar (Neuroscience ’26) on delivering an excellent talk and successfully defending her thesis today! Maya’s research was conducted in the Khasraw Tumor Immunology Lab (TIL), and the title of her thesis is “Understanding Survival Heterogeneity in Glioblastoma through Multi-Omic Analysis.”
