Junior and advanced sophomore math majors in the Program for Research for Undergraduates (PRUV) spend six weeks of intensive research under the direction of a Duke faculty member. Projects are designed to lead to a senior thesis qualifying for Graduation with Distinction in Mathematics.

DukeEngage provides one-time funding for approximately 200 Duke undergraduates each summer who wish to pursue an immersive, eight-week community engagement experience either locally, in the U.S. or internationally. Duke’s Office of Climate and Sustainability is excited to launch next year’s Green Devil internship positions—a collection of 22 paid, project-based opportunities designed to elevate student leadership in sustainability. These positions are for next academic year and run from August 2025-May 2026.

From creative storytelling to campus circularity strategy, climate dialogue to leadership teams, these 22 roles span a wide range of sustainability and climate themes. Whether you’re a communicator, organizer, researcher, or hands-on problem-solver, there’s a Green Devil role for you.

The MaryAnn Black Internship is an education-to-career program for high school students, and a collaboration between Duke Health and Durham YouthWorks. Duke student volunteers are needed to monitor interns virtually during Zoom meetings, moderate Q&As, and join tours on in-person days.

The Duke Population Health Sciences Summer Institute offers workshops for early- to mid-career researchers, professionals working in health care and health services research, trainees, and students who want to learn new methods that will broaden their research expertise.
