Do you guys miss the live concert?

And YES! The ensemble performances were back this semester!! Woo Hoo!!

Congratulations on an amazing first concert from the Wind Symphony clarinetists on last Friday (9/24)!!

A short funny story of those pictures....
Tivon was trying to make everyone together, and he did great! When they took the first picture, the conductor just came out. Some people invited the conductor to take the pictures together, so they didn’t look at the camera!! Finally, they got a perfect picture 👌🏽

Looking forward to the next cycle!

Sweet reminder:
1. Stay safe 🏠
2. Keep healthy 💪🏽💪🏽
3. Wear masks 😷😷😷

Happy December! As today is the last Monday of classes for MSU students, it is time for our last of the semester! We are thrilled to introduce freshman Audrey Rancourt:

Clarinetist Audrey Rancourt is an avid performer and teacher from the Detroit area. In high school, she performed extensively with the Grosse Pointe North High School Symphony Band (where she was a featured soloist in May), the Michigan Youth Arts Festival Honors Band, the Grosse Pointe North Full Orchestra, Pit Orchestra, Concert Band, and Pep Band. She has also performed frequently in a woodwind quintet and clarinet duet at local venues in her hometown of Grosse Pointe, including the Grosse Pointe War Memorial and Orchestra Hall. Since starting at MSU, she has performed with the Michigan State University Concert Band.
In addition to performing, Audrey enjoys teaching and has maintained a clarinet studio in the Grosse Pointe area, teaching students of all ages. She has also worked as a sectional coach at the Grosse Pointe Summer Music Festival over the past 4 years, where she instructs middle-school-aged musicians on applying fundamental and technical skills to large ensembles.
Currently, Audrey is a freshman at Michigan State University pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Clarinet Performance under the instruction of Dr. Guy Yehuda. Other principal instructors have included Ralph Skiano and Andrea Levine. When not performing or teaching, Audrey enjoys baking, cooking, spending time with friends, writing, and playing board games.
