So, we might have taken the heart theme a little too far - but we are just so excited for our newest Assistant Professor, Dr. Mary Underwood. Today we celebrate another amazing undergraduate researcher; Ashley Gilbert from the Nault Lab. After graduating this spring, she's off to Rutgers University for a PhD program. Ashley brought home a first place prize from the Pharmacology and Toxicology sections at UURAF for ther poster titled, In the Zone: A Transcriptomics Approach To Understanding Zone-Selective Fatty Liver Disease. Let's celebrate Emily Saksewski 🌟. Emily graduated this spring and is heading to Optometry School at Ferris State in the Fall. She worked in Dr. Jonathan Diedrich's lab. Her poster titled "Obesity Modulates Kras-Driven Microtubule Dynamics and Therapeutic Response in Colorectal Cancer" earned her a well-deserved first-place prize at the University Undergraduate Research and Arts Forum.
