Michigan State University Spartan Tubas The official page for the Michigan State University Spartan Tubas Who are we? We are members of the Spartan Marching Band, but we belong to this section.

A tradition of talent brings us here, but brotherhood defines the time we spend here. We are family and carry with that all the benefits and difficulties thereof. We are all those who came before us and all those who will come after us. Therefore, we are not a tradition of the times; we are a tradition for all of time. We are toga parties, champagne toasts, and Thanksgiving dinners. We are The Series. We are the infantry of game day; and our battle cry is 'It's good to be ... a SPARTAN TUBA!'

Scrat is a Senior in the university and a Junior in the band. He is a music major on the TUBA and enjoys poetry in his free time. He is a crucial element of the section and helps to make us sound great! He is currently the D in Squad G.O.A.T. and aids in their success. Unfortunately this will be Scrat's last year, so we wanted to give him the ! SPARTAN TUBAS ALUMNI - PLEASE SHARE THIS AND SPREAD THE WORD!

Please e-mail [email protected] with your current e-mail address. The list we have now is out of date and we would like to create stronger connections. This updated list will be used to send out information for an ALUMNI TUBA GEAR ORDER and making a new "Good to be a Spartan Tuba" video. Please send in any pictures or videos that could help aid in this process. We are currently remodeling our website to improve its appearance and efficiency. I would like to send out the gear order form sooner than later.

Wolfe is a freshman in the band and in the university this year. He is studying music education on the tuba and absolutely loves it! You can come see Wolfe and all the other Spartan Tubas this Friday night during the Homecoming Parade or our game against Wyoming this Saturday @ NOON. Go Green!

this week goes out to Kringle!

Kringle is currently a sophomore studying chemistry and chemical engineering in the Honors College! He will be a squad leader next year, which is awesome because he has never made a mistake. Also a member of Spartan Brass, Kringle was able to travel with the MSU Men's Basketball team to Indy, Spokane, and NYC! Funny story - A tourist asked Keith Appling to take her picture with Kringle! Kringle works in a lab on MSU's campus and also is employed by YouTube for making awesome videos.

This week we have Droid!

Droid is currently a sophomore with a double major in computer science and mathematics. He is also in the Honors College which is rare in the tuba section! Droid enjoys playing video games and is in charge of the section's D&D activities. He recently traveled to Japan and is also Master of the Universe!
