You'll enjoy games, treats, and fun activities while chatting with our campus and community partners. Listen to music courtesy of Impact 89FM - WDBM and a feature performance by Makinsey Rosser from the Michigan State University College of Music. Sparty will be there around 5pm!

The start of a new semester can be stressful! Unwind with us in the garden this month for Wellbeing Wednesdays. Each week will feature a different drop-in activity to inspire mindfulness and reflection while surrounded by nature.

First up, cyanotypes on September 9! Explore nature through one of the oldest forms of printmaking. Keep your fingers crossed for some sunny weather! 🌞

Silent Disco is this Thursday! This is the third year we've hosted this event with the Michigan State University Museum and it's been amazing every time. Will you be there?

See Beal after dark at Bugging Beal! Tonight at 9:30pm.

Explore the technique of blacklighting and see what insects visit the garden after hours. We'll be hosting this unique event with the Michigan State University Bug House and Department of Entomology!

Who's ready for a movie?

Screen on the Green is TONIGHT at 8:45pm. Come to the garden to watch Jurassic Park outdoors under the stars. Bring a blanket, a snack, and a few friends and get ready for some fun!

FYI, the garden doesn't have our own restroom and all nearby campus buildings will be closed at that hour. Please plan accordingly.

Tomorrow is the first day of our redo! Take a break from move in and walk through the Garden Gallery from 9am-4pm.

This art installation is a special partnership with the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum at MSU as a preview of their new fall exhibition. These replicas will also be on view in the garden this weekend from 1-3pm.

Who knew there were so many different lobelias?

Our garden bed near the pond highlights the research of Dr. Andrea Case (MSU College of Natural Science). Her work on lobelias focuses on the ecological and evolutionary factors affecting the relationships between closely related wildflower species. Basically, can they get along and how does this impact biodiversity?
