The College of Education at Michigan State University is home to an intensive five-year teacher preparation program, several nationally ranked programs of graduate study and a vibrant research community that is committed to making a difference in practice. The college is comprised of four departments

offering programs that prepare students for careers in teaching, kinesiology, athletic training, educational administration, higher education, research, policy making, student affairs, rehabilitation counseling and school psychology. Congratulations to University Distinguished Professor Ann E. Austin, who was named a Fellow of the AAAS - The American Association for the Advancement of Science.

This honor is considered one of the most distinctive accolades in the scientific community. AAAS Fellows are recognized for their significant contributions to advance science or its applications.

Austin will formally receive the honor at an AAAS forum today in Washington, D.C.
