The Office of Diversity Programming aims to promote a socially inclusive environment that nurtures excellence through equal opportunity and respect for everyone in the college. The office seeks to enhance student, faculty, and staff interaction and sensitivity to dimensions of social inclusion such as race/ethnicity, nationality, gender, social class, sexual orientation, and disability.

Happy wednesday everyone! We’re working with JMC Student Senate to host a Finals De-Stressor event to give JMC students a supportive space as finals near. The event will have food, activities, a mindfulness workshop, and the first 50 students to arrive will have the option to take a care package with them! The de-stressor event will take place on Tuesday, April 26th from 5:00-7:00pm and will have activities in both Club Spartan and the JMC Library. Feel free to DM us with any questions! We’re looking forward to seeing you all there 🎉

On Thursday, April 7th, the Office of Diversity and the College Inclusion Committee will be hosting an event to share the College’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Strategic Plan! This event is a great opportunity to voice your experiences related to DEI in the college and to engage with JMC faculty, staff, students, and JMC’s Assistant Dean of DEI, Dr. Johnson! The event will be held at Club Spartan from 6:00-7:45pm. We hope to see you there!
