Kent State serves students in Columbiana County by offering classes at two convenient locations:

Kent State East Liverpool

Kent State East Liverpool is situated just off state Route 11 with stunning views of the Ohio River. Kent State East Liverpool is composed of Purinton Hall located at 400 E. and the Mary Patterson Building, located at 213 E. The Locke House, a real-life simulation lab for Oc

cupational Therapy Assistant students is located at 134 W. Combined with its sister campus, Kent State University at Salem, 27 degrees are offered, including bachelor’s and associate degrees. The two campuses serve more than 3,000 students annually. Kent State Salem

Kent State Salem is located just south of the city at 2491 state Route 45 South. Situated more than 90 acres, the campus features a pond and nature trails. A multi-million dollar health and science wing, known as Centofanti Hall, features nursing and rad tech labs, as well as chemistry and biology labs. Kent State Salem also includes the City Center, located in the heart of downtown Salem at 230 N. Lincoln Ave. It is the site of the former Salem High School and Junior High. As the world prepares for the 25th commemoration of the terrorist attacks on the United States on Sept. 11, 2001, our Kent State community will be recognizing this day during a special event on Sept. 10. The College of Aeronautics and Engineering will include a commemoration as part of its fifth annual Pilot Pinning Ceremony at the Kent State University Airport (1G3).

Kent State University at East Liverpool is collaborating with the East Liverpool Fire Department and area first responders to host The Never Forget-Community Remembrance event this Thursday to commemorate the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001.

The free outdoor event will be held from 4-7 p.m. that day on the East Liverpool Campus and will include family-friendly activities; information tables, free refreshments and displays of emergency vehicles (based on availability). All first responders who attend will receive remembrance pins.

Students from the associate degree in nursing, occupational therapy assistant and physical therapist assistant programs will be on site with interactive displays and blood pressure screenings.

The American Red Cross is holding a blood drive in Purinton Hall that day from 1-6 p.m. Participants can pre-register online at redcrossblood.org (code 43920) while walk-ins will also be accepted.

The Friends of Kent State East Liverpool organization is providing free food and beverages for the day.

Kent State at East Liverpool nursing students will welcome the American Red Cross for a blood drive on Sept. 10 as part of the Never Forget-Community Remembrance event being held to observe the 25th anniversary Sept. 11, 2001.

The blood donation center will be in the Academic Learning Commons, located on the second floor of Purinton Hall from 1-6 p.m. Donors can pre-register by using the code 43920 at www.redcrossblood.org. Walk-ins are also welcome.

Aside from the blood drive, the free community event will take place outdoors from 4-7 p.m. and includes family-friendly activities, information tables, free refreshments and displays of emergency vehicles (based on availability). All first responders who attend will receive remembrance pins.
