***BREAKING NEWS***
The "Tribe" have added another impact star!!!
After commencing her career as a part of the club team at Lehigh University; 𝒀𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒏𝒂 𝑭𝒐𝒖𝒇𝒂𝒔 will be remaining in the Keystone State; but has officially switched her allegiances to ESU!!!
Belonging on the "Rushmore" of Mepham Wrestling; when she won back-to-back NYSPHSAA Women's crowns in 2023 (114) and 2024 (120); Foufas became just the fourth wrestler in school history to be a multiple-time state titlist (first since 2013/2014---𝙇𝙤𝙪𝙞𝙨 𝙃𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙯)!!!
Being the last lady standing in that 2024 bracket was especially impressive as she'd navigate her way past Pine Bush's 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐞 𝐓𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐬 (2x State medalist/2023 runner-up) & 𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐚 𝐕𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐚 (2x State finalist/2023 Champion) of Rocky Point in semifinal and championship bouts!!
One season prior (2023); she notched a banner triumph when she come away with a 14-10 decision over 2021 UWW Cadet/U17 World Bronze Medalist, 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐥𝐥, in the 112-pound Junior finale to repeat as Blatnick royalty!
Ranked as highly as #4 in the nation during her senior campaign for the Pirates; on the grander scale; Foufas was also a 2023 NHSCA All-American; as as well as a top-5 performer in the Under-20 division of the 2024 Women's Nationals!!
In limited appearances as a Mountaineer; the Long Islander found success; as she followed up a 6th-place effort in her collegiate debut (at the ESU Open) by winning the 117-pound hardware one week later at the Alfred State/Pioneer Open!
She's also post a 2-0 resume in helping lead Lehigh to a 6-1 record at the ESU/Warrior Duals!!
