Here are some of the shots of Steve's induction ceremony. We started Friday night with a tour of the old house. The young women were gracious and welcoming and enjoyed our "war stories". The group pictures are in front of the phone nook. Then down to the fieldhouse, where we had reserved parking! "Just mention you name at the gate"...
Then a cocktail reception where we met up with brother Blair and brother Dirk Durstein. We got a surprise "two-fer" because Dirk was there to accept the induction of the 1948 Football Team(see blurb from the program). Dirk's father and uncle were members of that team that snubbed the Sun Bowl because they wouldn't let a black member of the team participate. A member of the Tuskeegee Airmen no less... The dinner was great and Steve gave an excellent speech (even without a gavel in his hand). Naturally we were the last ones out of the fieldhouse...and finished up the night at CHT, along with track and field coach Michele Curcio,(white sweater) who was instrumental in Steve's induction ....a special night all around....

big post coming...an incredible night yesterday...finished at CHT (which is semi recognizable)...thought I could remember Tom McD's back route to 25th street...I was wrong...Tatamy looks the same...mostly because I was only in Tatamy once or twice...do us a favor, reach out to guys that don't know about this site and tell them about it...

It was a great day! The morning house tour was awkward at first but the sorority girls...uh, women, warmed up to the old men eventually and got a kick out our stories...I'm pretty sure two of them went to look for the BatHole as soon as we left...The Tailgate Party was also a lot of fun and something we all apparently still have a skill for...The game? meh, but the weather held up. The College did a really nice job on the whole thing (they even bought EN flags, tho they disappeared later in the day(it was an EN disappearing act)...the reception was also great and the President made an appearance although she only likes Dr. Bohrod and O.J....Can't thank Brother Margolies and his gracious wife Ann enough for all their efforts for the last 10 months (at least), and of course our Monitor, Amy Gross went above and beyond to help us and keep us out of trouble...I can't tag anyone that I am not Facebook friends with, so feel free to tag yourselves and let some of the new guys know about this page...The only bad news is that 6 or seven years ago when I would click on a face, the face recognition was instant...apparently the last few years have made us unrecognizable...maybe not a bad thing...Thanks to everyone for contributing and making it

Well, it looks like we've got at least 30 "official" registered attendees, plus significant others...assuming the usual walk-ups, a great turnout! For those like me that had no idea what "Oechsle" is, it's Alumni Gym so that's the pre-game meeting place.(look for the Snake flag) It's a bummer that they dumped the 10 a.m to 10:30 EN house visit news on us last night, but beggars can't be choosers...Safe travel everyone, see you Saturday!
