Seven individuals. Three boards. Countless contributions to CVTC. 💙

The CVTC Foundation’s annual Paver Recognition Ceremony is a special tradition at Centennial Circle outside the Business Education Center. Originally created in 2012 to celebrate CVTC’s 100th anniversary, Centennial Circle honors members of the CVTC family who have made a lasting difference at the College.

This year, we added seven commemorative pavers to recognize individuals who reached significant service milestones on the District Board, Foundation Board and Alumni Board.

Their time, leadership and commitment have helped shape CVTC and strengthen the connections that make our college community so special.

Thank you to our honorees for the difference you’ve made, and continue to make, at CVTC. We’re grateful to you!

That’s a wrap on the 26th annual CVTC Golf League!

Congratulations to this year’s champions, Kyle and Nick! ⛳️

The league brought together 22 golfers, including current and former staff, alumni, and community members.

Good swings, maybe a few questionable swings, a little friendly competition and plenty of fun were had by all. We’ll see you on the course next year! 🏌️‍♂️

At CVTC, we continue to ask, “How can we better support our students and help them succeed?”

Questions like this lead to action, continued improvement and better outcomes for our students.

One example is success in online gateway courses, which are courses many students need to complete throughout their time at CVTC. Success in these courses has improved from 73% to 78%.

That’s just one example of the work happening at CVTC and one of the reasons we are proud to be a Top 10 Aspen Prize finalist.

Through CVTC Workforce Solutions and Continuing Education, MAI Animal Health partnered with CVTC to provide leadership training designed around the needs of their team. By bringing training directly to their workplace, CVTC was able to provide a convenient, relevant learning experience for both new and existing leaders.

This partnership is a great example of how customized training can help businesses strengthen their teams, develop confident leaders and build skills that make an impact well beyond the classroom.

Great training starts with understanding what an organization needs.

That’s exactly what CVTC’s Workforce Solutions and Continuing Education team was able to do with MAI Animal Health. Together, they developed leadership training focused on helping new and experienced leaders grow their skills and brought that training directly to the MAI Animal Health team.

It’s a partnership that shows how professional development can be tailored to meet businesses where they are, giving employees the tools they need to lead with confidence and helping organizations continue to grow.

What if the person teaching your child’s future career has been there when the stakes were at their highest?

That’s what CVTC students get from instructors like Jen. A firefighter-paramedic, CVTC graduate and instructor, Jen brings more than 20 years of experience in medicine into her classroom. But she also teaches her students how to take care of themselves while taking care of others.

Her story is honest, personal and sometimes difficult. And it’s exactly the kind of real-world perspective that can make a difference when a student is preparing for a career and a life of their own.

This is CVTC at its best, learning from people who have lived it, with instructors who genuinely care about the people their students will become.
