I grew up in the Twin Cities, attending public schools in Richfield and Lakeville and then graduated from Winona State University which is part of the Minnesota State University System. My mother, Grandmother, Grandfather and Uncle were all teachers and strong advocates of public education. I was raised in a family that believed in public service – That giving back to the community was your duty a
s a good citizen and neighbor. I have been married to my husband, Paul Patzloff, for 19 years. Paul grew up in Edina and was among the last graduating class from Edina East High School. We chose to move to Edina in 2000, a year before our first child was born, knowing this was where we wanted to raise our family. I am the Mother of two children: Lainey is a 4th grader in the Continuous Progress (CP) at Highlands Elementary, and Macklin is a 1st grader in Discovery (neighborhood program) at Highlands. Being a mother is my number one priority and my greatest joy in life. I have been blessed to be able to stay home with our kids for the last 8 1/2 years. And as a Mom, I can’t imagine my life without The Edina Family Center. Both of our kids attended classes at the Family Center and I always signed up for the accompanying parenting class. today, I still attend Beyond ECFE classes. I love all things epicurean; cooking, baking and all “foodie” activities and I have a particular passion for my ever-growing vegetable garden.
