Graduation = Completion of degree requirements
• Apply for graduation through ASSIST
• Look for an email from [email protected]
• Check DegreeWorks and/or meet with your advisor to review for any deficiencies
• Deadline to resolve deficiencies: March 20, 2026
• Purchase your cap and gown at herff.ly/utrgv or check availability at the bookstore https://utrgvstore.bibliucampus.com/home
• Commemorative stole / First-Gen stole (optional)
• If you meet honors requirements, you may purchase an honor cord at the bookstore
• RSVP for commencement and select your number of tickets by April 1, 2026

For 25 years, Karina Torres has been a guiding light for UTRGV students navigating the road to graduation. As an Academic Advisor on the Edinburg campus, Torres has helped thousands of students select the right classes, tackle obstacles and achieve their educational goals.
