UTRGV School of Accountancy The School of Accountancy at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley offers students Bachelor, Master, and Ph.D. The Robert C.

degrees in accounting from highly qualified faculty dedicated to student’s success. The education that students receive at UTRGV will prepare them for a variety of career opportunities: public accounting through the CPA Exam, management accounting in a private or public company, internal and external auditing, to name a few examples. Our graduates successfully work in many different organizations

ranging from local CPA firms to major accounting firms across the nation, from government entities such as the Governmental Accounting Office to large public corporations. Vackar College of Business and Entrepreneurship is accredited by the AACSB International which places the college among the top five percent of all business schools worldwide.

***SOA CHALLENGE***

We would like to see the School of Accountancy be well represented. Our Director (Dr. Gotti) has proposed to make this a friendly competition between the student organizations (ALPFA, BAA, BAP,IMA and the Accounting Society). We are challenging each organization to have the highest attendance for Baseball Night. You will find us in the picnic area giving out food vouchers. A QR code will be available for us to keep track of attendance. We will announce the winner on Instagram and LinkedIn on Wednesday, March 8th. Along with gift prizes, Dr. Gotti will be hosting a pizza party for the winning org. Come out and wear your T-shirts to represent.
