Our UTRGV GEAR UP Coordinators had the incredible opportunity to tour the beautiful University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Brownsville Campus, where learning came to life in the most exciting ways!
A special thank you to Gladys Porter Zoo for an engaging presentation — and for introducing us to some unforgettable animal ambassadors 🐾💚

We also enjoyed insightful presentations from UTRGV’s Integrative Biological and Chemical Sciences department, showcasing the innovative research and academic opportunities available to our students. 🧬🔬

🎓 Thank You, UTRGV GEAR UP 8th Grade Families! 🌟

We had a great turnout at our Parent Night on Career Pathway Choices for 8th graders, and we truly appreciate everyone who took the time to join us!

Families learned about the different career pathways and endorsements available in Texas, graduation plans, and how these choices help set students up for success in high school and beyond. Our counselors and staff enjoyed answering questions and helping families feel confident as they plan for the next step in their students’ educational journey.

👏 Thank you to our staff, counselors, and families for making this evening a success—and for supporting our students as they explore their interests and future goals!
