Office for Advocacy & Violence Prevention at UTRGV Office for Advocacy & Violence Prevention is dedicated to serving the UTRGV community on power-based

Providing services and resources to victims and survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, and other forms of interpersonal violence to all students, staff, and faculty at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

Our office will be closed Monday May 25th in observance of Memorial Day. We will resume operations on Tuesday May 26th.

Stand with us in support of survivors and help raise awareness about sexual violence by participating in Denim Day. Wear your denim as a visible statement against victim blaming and in solidarity with those impacted.

For the past 2 years we have had the pleasure to work with Valentina. She has been a dedicated worker in our office teaching others about healthy relationships and personal safety. When she's not in our office, she is out there playing tennis! She is an exceptional player!!! Today she was awarded her senior plaque and is getting ready to graduate this May!! We can't wait to see what she does out in the world!! Congrats Valentina!!!
