We want to take a moment and congratulate Dr. Tayo for receiving the Vanderford Undergraduate Research Award at Faculty Convocation last week!

Dr. Tayo was recognized for his simple, cost effective methods to analyze DNA that detects cancer and human genetic disorders. Dr. Tayo received the 2nd NIH R15 grant in UCO’s history and is currently the co-investigator on a Department of Energy grant awarded in July.

Dr. Tayo has presented with student co-authors at 11 professionals meetings over the past 2 years. He has also co-authored 6 manuscripts with UCO students and mentored numerous students on RCSA grants and senior design projects.

We are so proud and so grateful for your dedication to UCO School of Engineering Dr. Tayo!
