At the 2023 OAEA Award session, the Dean of the UCO College of Fine Arts and Design and the chair of the UCO art Department welcomed the OAEA members.

Last year at the 2022 OAEA conference, UCO art education students donated their artwork to raise money for the first OAEA pre-service Division scholarship. This year, UCO art education student teacher, Diana Velasco, became the first recipient of the 2023 OAEA Pre-service Division scholarship.

UCO Art Education Student teachers, Robert Henderson and Juliana Hing, also presented their art education research and curriculum posters at the Award session.

Under the direction of the 2023 Pre-service Division chair, Juliana Hing, UCO Art Education students shared their ideas on art education at the 2023 OAEA Pre-service Division Meeting.
