🏛️ Change starts with a story.

A powerful afternoon in Dr. Shukla’s graduate Environmental Criminology & Crime Analysis course!

We were honored to host guest speakers Candy Davis Schwarz and Candi Morris, who shared their incredible journeys of turning personal tragedy into life-saving advocacy. 🗣️⚖️

Our students got a front-row seat to how legislative change actually happens in Oklahoma. From the Ray Davis Safe Roads Act (HB 3304) to the Maddix Bias Act (HB 1933), these women are doing the heavy lifting to improve public safety for all of us. 🛡️✨

A massive thank you to Candy and Candi for your vulnerability, your strength, and for educating the next generation of CJ professionals on what it means to be a true advocate.
